This rider is REALLY dedicated!!! This is from Oregon to
Yreka, CA. The cars/trucks were crazy, this person made it to Yreka alive
in spite of them. We followed behind them (hope they didn't get paranoid)
to be their guardian "angels". TTFN, Trish

I just returned to Maine from Florida. We left the day
after a big snowstorm and returned a day after a big snowstorm.
Unfortunately, Florida was a lot chillier than I expected!
On a happy note, we visited the ROAR Motorcycles shop.
Quite a place! The bike prices were a lot more reasonable than I expected.
For anyone looking for a modified bike made to fit, this is a great place
to go. The staff is extremely friendly and the bikes are gorgeous. --

Hi. Just wanted to let you know I traded in my 2007 HD 1200
Low for a 2008! It had 390 miles on it, I got it Thanksgiving Eve. It has
about 600+ on it now-12-8-08. It has almost all of the additions I
was going to put on my other bike and it was too good to let pass. The
2008 handles much easier than the 2007. Rich and I each got a new MC for
Christmas-his kept breaking down and the dealer was willing to give him a
good trade in. He had this yellow Honda VTX 1300 he always would sit on so
we got it. The group ride was a toy ride. We stayed in the back since I
don't consider myself consistent enough to be sure I won't knock into
somebody. Here are a few pictures. TTFN -- Trish

This is a picture of my husband and my 80-year old
mother, who is also a two-time cancer survivor.
We went on a motorcycle trip thru Alaska this past July
and she traveled with us. It was her very first time on a motorcycle. She
loved every minute of it. We had a hard time getting her off the bike at
the end of the day. She said that if she was just a few years younger and
did not live in Buffalo, she get her own to ride. What a strong woman! --

You responded to me personally via email about
my nervousness with my 2003 Sporty being a bit to top heavy and my concern
that I was barely flat footing. I am doing a lil
better thanks to your encouragement and advice. Thanks
much. -- Lil Bit

Here is a picture of my 2007 HD 1200 Low. I sent a
picture of me on the bike for the Fit
Chart also. I just sent the plain picture in 'cause it's so pretty.
Thanks for the great website. TTFN -- Trish

I went with two other girlfriends out to Wyoming and South Dakota!
We were manless until our third day in Sturgis (after 3,100 miles)!
It was a hoot and I'm so proud of myself for pulling it off. 500 mile days
for a total of over 5,000 miles racked up!
And I truly have you and the message board members to thank for instilling
the confidence in me. I can't believe I could do this after just one
year of riding!
Thanks for all your help along the way. Couldn't have done it
without ya! -- Rose

I've enclosed a picture of my bike, its a Tank Vision,
250cc, styled to look like a Harley. I can't afford a Harley;
she's the closest and it is to one for me, she's my baby, I love her.

I just wanted to share a little story and picture with ya. Who said that
an old dog can't learn a new trick? In the picture, the one with the
pink jacket is me and the another lady is my big sister. She's 55 and lost
her husband 2 years ago. I said to her one day, you should get a bike, and
she did. It's the same year, make and model as mine, 2000, VLX 600cc
Shadow (the perfect little bike for a shorty).
She took the motorcycle course a week before me and got her license and
now there is no stopping her. She's amazing and goes all the time. She
bikes with me and she's so good. She's my coach and my nerves, She makes
me go and tells me if I did a good job. Just what I needed.
I'm doing so great. Sunday night my husband and I went out and after he
said, Wow it's great to drive with ya, you gotter now. I have mastered
things I didn't think I could and now I know there is no stopping me. The
butterflies are all gone and the turns are just a joke. I learned to lean
the thing. lol So Readers "Please don't ever give
up!!!" If I can do it so can you, I promise. Till the
next turn! Live to ride. -- Yur biggest fan! Teala

Ahhh ... the joy of meeting a sister (Linda, aka Pandora) and her husband
Evan at the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally! We had a chance to gab away on lots
of topics while Linda's bike was being outfitted with Boogie Lights.
Then Linda and I headed off for a spot of lunch while Evan kept his eye
on the bike work and roamed a bit to take in vendor's booths.
A great time was had by all, and even Bumblebee, my 2001 BWM R1200C,
got into the act with some pictures!

I ride a 2007 Moto Guzzi Nevada 750 Classic, and in this picture
everything is stock, no mods made. My husband's bike is in the back, a
2007 Moto Guzzi Breva V1100, though they also make it in a 750 and now a
1200 Sport too. Thanks for posting the info on the Guzzis! I wish
more women knew about them! The Nevada is a great first bike, but
yet, one a gal might want to hold onto for years! -- Kris-Erin

Daytona: Just a quick stop to enjoy the waves during a breakfast ride up
A1A to Flagler Beach after riding The Loop during Bike Week. This is my
11th Bike Week! My first was in 1964 with my parents.
Unfortunately, I didn't get back until 1999. I'm riding my
2002 Harley Softail Standard which has been lowered both front/rear and
changed out the 21" front wheel for a 16". -- M.

You may remember I originally had a VStar 650. After
putting on a quick 4,000 miles I moved up to the
VStar 1100 Classic which I love (and could afford.
LOL). I've purchased a sidecar for my daughter, so I can get even more
riding time in than I did last year. I managed about
6,000 miles last summer, even with the limited time
I had!
I'll be bringing it in to be painted to match my
bike next week, and then down to a guy who does sidecar
mounting. I've gotten well connected with the
sidecar group up here so they've promised to teach
me to run my rig safely!
I love my bike. I would live on my bike if time allowed.
I can't explain it any other way. You may have seen
my article in the August edition of Biker Alley
magazine, "Riding Alone." Riding has become my escape from all
that life has thrown at me. I can just leave it all
behind me...just me and my bike...and not really
have time to think about ANY of the troubles that come at me each day.
Instead it's just me, the clutch, the brake, the turns, and the wind. --
Leah

I wrote to you awhile ago when I got my Volusia 800, and I think your
site is great. I have another new bike now, so my husband Mike and
I can ride together. Last spring we bought a VStrom 650, and we
both love it. It's a little tall, that's why I wasn't comfortable
starting out with it, but after a couple seasons on the Volusia, I had
to get the VStrom, and it's a great handling bike. It looks big,
but it feels light and it turns so nice and feels so smooth. I
rode to Vermont three times last summer, and it was super. --
