Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thought you might get a little kick
out of seeing my Mom, Alice, on her Indian back in the 50s (this was taken
in 1957). Not too many women were riding back then. Anyway, this
little Indian was my very "1st Sweet Ride" . . .
and that's my excuse! That's me on my Yamaha in 2007, 50 years later!
Love, -- 1Shot

Me with my new 2007 Honda
Shadow Aero 750. I love this bike. I went from riding a Buell Blast
500 to a Honda Rebel 250, but my dream bike is my favorite. I will keep
her forever I'm so happy with it. -- Marilyn

Omigosh, I woke up this morning to see a motorcycle wreck in our front
yard! Apparently the rider didn't see the stump from a tree downed by a
hurricane and skidded to avoid the obstacle, but probably locked the rear
brake and down they went.
Rushing out to administer any life-saving techniques I could, a
brilliant plan was conceived to light up the area (in order to see the
situation more clearly) and the riders and motorcycle were miraculously
revived, without a scratch! -- Petra, wishing you Happy Holidays

Yolonda and I met up on 9/29/07 at the Thunder on the Beach Fall Rally in
Panama City Beach! That's Yo's white Suzuki C50 and then my mandarin
orange/black BMW R1200C. We had a great time shopping and roaming around
on the bikes! Can you see my new sunglasses that match my bike color?!?!?!
You can really see them in the pic with Yo's sister-in-law Mary Jane!

Here are some pictures of what I’m venturing into, which
is taking the bling work I do on riding clothing (chaps, etc.) a step
further ... with customizing the bike.
The VStar to the left is mine (a work in progress) and
the Harley is my friend Elaine’s. Under the console on the VStar is my
business card holder. Enjoy! -- Nanci Rogers of Ace

This is my new baby - Katie. I bought this '05 V-Star
1100 Classic after having not ridden in over 12 years. I was afraid of
its size at first, and terrified of dropping it or wrecking. I use
my fear as motivation, so that means I have to go for it, and I
plunked down the cash! Only 500 miles on her and a total
steal. I had rebuilt a Sportster before having this bike, but it
was too many years ago and it was so much smaller. I fell in love with
the looks of the V-Stars. They are gorgeous!
A tip to all. I've been riding since I was 8 years old, but I still took
the motorcycle safety class anyway, just this last May. It was
exceedingly helpful! I learned new techniques for cornering and stopping
faster. Seriously boosted my confidence, even after all these
years!
Thanks for the site, Mama. You are a rockstar! -- Rachel

This is Michelle
Wynn's "Off The Beaten Path," an original canvas available
in offset lithograph print (seen here).
The frame is a frosted silver metal, the mat is rubia
(C1706) that was lined with a black/silver fillet.
For me it's like looking through a window from a
forest-nestled back yard to see the woman rider, but it also evokes a
window to the past, reminding me that many women have come before me in
the illustrious history of women motorcycle riders. -- Petra, VTwin

I'm 5-4" and about 119 - so we needed to modify my
Hugger so my feet would be on the ground. I didn't like the silver,
and chose a black matte. All powdercoated. She is a

I ride a 87 Yamaha Virago 750 and my friend Saryta rides a
96 Kawasaki Ninja 500. This is from one
of her first rides on a beautiful fall day shortly after we got
our bikes in the fall of 2005. She's looking a little shell-shocked
as she is recovering from a small "oopsie" --
nothing a nice scone and tea couldn't cure! I have
been riding on and off for nearly 20 years but it was
her first season. -- Simon

This is me and my 2007 Sportster 1200 Custom. I'm such a
newbie to all of this, but I am so in love with my bike. Everything about
this is overwhelming right now -- shopping for gear, learning to ride,
breaking the bike in...but I have reached another goal in my life and I
couldn't be prouder. -- Lisa

I needed a project and so set about hand applying
approx. 2200 flat-backed Swarovsky Crystals to my Harley Solo Seat and
Tank Bra. The pictures don’t do it justice…it really looks great….

Went for a great ride on Sunday, the
weather here in Britain was actually sunny and quite warm for a change!
Anyway, brought along the camera so here's a pic of me and my Virago
535, with boyfriend's Suzuki SV650 in the background, in the car park of a
pub in a little village called Tormarton in the Costwolds. Don't
they match well - a complete coincidence as it happens! -- Michelle

I have to tell you how much I love your site.
Mostly because I find that I'm not alone in my newness. LOL I wrote to you
last fall, telling you how excited I was to have taken the class and now
have my license, and again a few weeks ago to tell you I got a bike! I
just wanted to share a picture of my bike, (Vstar 650) that I'm so excited
about. Too bad it took me 1/2 hr to find neutral......good grief....
It's not quite time to ride here in MN.
Couple more weeks and I can get to the parking lot where the teach the
class. The lines for the various skills are all painted on the pavement so
I can practice on those and get used to the bike.
Now, if I could just find 2nd gear. -- Leah
