Here's a pic of me on my bike. I got it last month. It's a new 2006 Boulevard C50C, pearl white with ghost flames. I haven't gotten to ride it much yet, but so far am loving it. -- Yolanda

Tim and Shadow Cruiser.JPG (71617 bytes)

Hi Petra,

Just a photo of my finished Shadow Cruiser, I have not been able to do much riding over the past couple of months because here in England it rained , then it rained, and finally rained some more, the only option for me was to start customizing, and here's the result. I think its great when I go to the local supermarket, many guys of my age (67) look at my bike and clearly would like some, their problem is ,they have written themselves off, my response is, go for it while you can, I wish I did it earlier.

I bought a DVD from the States "Ride like a Pro" its from the Florida police department and its helped me with a slow riding problem I had, the training seems to be mainly for Cruisers. hope it helps others.

Regards, -- Tim in the UK

After thinking and testing everything from another Honda to Harley's I decided on the new Yamaha Star 1300 (named Yama Mama). WOO HOO! I haven't ridden her that much for "fun" yet and we are still getting used to each other. She has her little "quirks" and we are still trying to find our comfort zone together.

I admit that it was hard for me to give up my '04 Honda Shadow Aero 750, or the "Little Honda that Could" as she came to be known amongst my friends. She was a GREAT BIKE and I loved her! But I guess that it was time. But for now, I'm loving my new ride!!

Just wanted to share pics of the chaps Ace High Leathers did for me and  also send along a pic of my Sporty with crash bars for the lady whose dealership told her crash bars don't look right on a Sportster.

Thanks to Joe Rocket and Ace High Leathers I am totally color coordinated at all times. -- Dorathy

I am a Harley rider with a husband who rides a Triumph (Sprint ST).  The bikes are so different and Harley and Triumph are like two different cultures, but we all love the same thing, don't we - the freedom and exhilaration of the ride. -- Jody

I'm sending you a picture of me and my practice bike and I am starting to feel that I on my way to becoming a V-Twin Mama!  This is Gidget and she is a great learning bike, my Honda 1986 Rebel.  I'm learning so much from her and my beau who bought her for me. -- Tempe (aka Baby Steps)

I finally have some pictures to add to my bike review for my '99 HD Hugger! One is of my bike (my pride and joy!) and the other is me with our dog, "Blackie" (who always has to be in the picture) I took these on New Year's Eve day after we went on a short 25 mile ride.

Richard and Harley.JPG (28177 bytes)

I'm quickly closing in on the 500 mile mark (2007 Dyna Street Bob FXDB). One other thing, I did get some new pipes on my Harley bike. Vance & Hines 'Big Radius'....Wow! They sound great (not too loud...just deep bass and only real loud when seriously rolling on the throttle). Mostly, they look really cool I think. Between the pipes and the forward controls, I'm feeling pretty cool every time I ride. -- Richard

Linda C and two bikes.jpg (54981 bytes)

I'm sending in another picture of me and my bike (the one on the right), with me in my spaceman suit, aka longjohns, fleeces, and leathers. My husband thinks I look funny in my helmet liner, but I don't care. I'm just tickled pink to be out there. -- Linda C.

Patricia and 650 VStar.jpg (34701 bytes)

I also just turned 50 and took the MSF course and started riding on June 18 of this year (my 2004 VStar 650). I removed the custom pipes and added Vance and Hines pipes. I also added a Memphis windshield, running boards, crash bars and am now looking for a set of saddle bags to enhance the features.I absolutely love it. I also am a short 5’ ˝”. I have never felt such freedom. I admire all the women that are taking charge of their lives and hitting the pavement with such a sense of pride. Go ladies!!!!!!!!!!!  -- Pat

Martys 1918 Grandfather a.jpg (70462 bytes)

My friend Marty surprised me the other day with these photos. Please say hi to Marty's paternal grandparents! This picture was taken in Neenah, Wisconsin in 1918. Miles Baer had just come back from France and bought this Harley-Davidson. With him is Margaret Weinmann . . . and while they were still dating when this photo was taken, they eventually married. Can you see her smile?! The story is that Miles taught Margaret to ride . . .

Yes, it's a 45 degree V-twin! 61 cu in (1000cc), the model 11F (although in some books it was simply called the F model or the 61F), which was produced from 1909-1921. Marty wishes the bike was still in the family . . . well, who wouldn't?!?! -- VTwin Mama

Patty and VStar 650 Classic.JPG (61425 bytes)

So -- here I am, 50 years old with a new V-Star 650 Classic, my very own first motorcycle (600miles since I bought it).

My flame-painted bike is a new '02 model that was part of a group of custom painted bikes that were crated and shipped around the country to various bike shows for the first part of their lives.  Mine didn't even have gas in it until I bought it just before Labor Day this year.  I got a good deal on it, considering the custom paint and ostrich seats, and the extra chrome.  I did have to put the windshield on it though. -- Patty

karma and VStar 650.jpg (49265 bytes)

I did go ahead and purchase the VStar 650; I fell in love with it and she and I just fit. I got my permit, practiced, practiced, practiced, and loved every minute of it!  I took the MSF course at the end of September and passed!  I am now a happily licensed motorcyclist. -- Karma

Vikki and LS650.JPG (45234 bytes)

Vikki and Honda Shadow.jpg (32442 bytes)

Here's me with my 1996 Suzuki LS650 Savage. I know I'm not in proper riding gear (unless you consider flip-flops suitable) but this was just a couple of hours after we brought my bike home (in mid-August) and had given it a good wash and polish. I hadn't even taken it for a ride yet, but I was so excited to get it that I insisted my husband move it over to the sidewalk for a few pictures.

The second photo is of me and my friend Lorraine on her 1997 Honda Shadow 600VLX. We met in our motorcycle course back in the spring, and this was the first time we got to ride our bikes together. We're already planning a road trip for next year. -- Vikki

Louise and Dyna Lowrider.JPG (60501 bytes)

My 2001 FXDL Dyna Lowrider. I'd like to say to all the petite girls out there that riding a big bike is not impossible! I am barely 5 feet tall and I never thought I would be able to handle a Harley Davidson. Then this motorcycle came up for sale and when I looked at it, I thought to myself...I can do this. And with a few modifications, I did it! I'm driving my own H-D. -- Louise

Carole and Honda VTX 1300R.JPG (34166 bytes)

I sat on the Honda VTX 1300 Retro and knew it was the one. The bike I ended up with has 4" pull back risers, which is a must. The seat is nice and wide. It's a comfortable ride with the floorboards. The Honda is a bit heavier, but the extra weight can be welcome on a windy ride. Although it is a tad heavy, it is still easy to lift up.

I'm 52 years old and have been riding for 30 years. I'm 5'4 and am easily flat footed on the Honda. I don't have much upper body strength either. -- Carole, Springfield Illinois

Susan and Vulcan 500.JPG (21374 bytes)

Here's a picture of me and my Vulcan 500 taken after a marathon ride on Sunday.

I just got a couple of pictures of my partner Janet (with her matching Vulcan 500). She insisted that I make sure to get her boots in the picture as she is very smitten with them. I actually think if she hadnąt found these boots she might not have even cared to continue with the motorcycling after that "oopsie" moment I mentioned. :-) -- Susan

My '06 1200L: had the HD store lower the forks and put the lower shocks on the back (it lowered my bike about 2"),  replaced the stock seat with a solo HD Brawler (I am almost flat footed now), and also had forward controls put on. I'm 5'2" as well and it really made the world of difference I needed to feel comfortable.

Here I am goofing off, getting ready to ride, and a great group of "Guys" who have been so patient with me and mentoring me along the way. -- Tami
