This first pic is of me when I first rode into work on an April morning. There I am on my 2004 Shadow Aero, helmet hair and all! But with a grin from ear to ear!! I was so excited!

The second picture is along Santiago Canyon Road approaching the famous Cook's Corner. That's me giving the peace sign and thinking . . . "Look Ma, only one hand!" In truth, my Mother would have probably freaked about the one hand thing! -- Gloria in Southern California

So, Sandy and her husband Mark were at their beach house in Holden Beach, NC over the Xmas holidays, which is darn close to VTwin Mama's home in Calabash, NC! VTwin Mama sister Joanne and I rode over on December 24th to meet Sandy and talk and what a great time we had! Sandy brought along motorcycle photo albums that were a gas to go through!

That's Sandy on the left in an original VTwin Mama long sleeve T, Joanne, and then VTwin Mama herself (in a VTM logo sweatshirt and her 2001 BMW R1200C Phoenix "Bumblebee" bike in the foreground).

Trudies Hyosung.jpg (9844 bytes)

Hi, I just wanted to share a picture of my new Hyosung GV650 bike. I am also happy to report that I already am riding the bike to work and back, but I’m still playing it safe. Have a nice Christmas.-- Trudie van Aardt in South Africa

Megan South Africa.jpg (13316 bytes)

Here is a picture of my bike, a 1986 Honda VT750. It is 'shabby' to quote my husband, who is now intent on dismantling and doing up and polishing and re-spraying, etc etc and has told me to 'shhhhhh' when I start to protest! Oh well! The other machine in the pic is his newly acquired Yamaha 1100 Dragstar. -- Megan in Henley On Klip (south of Johannesburg) South Africa

I had to send you a picture of what my hubby bought me so I could take the Rotten with me. This is her very first ride - such a big smile !! -- Paula

(in response to Denise's letter about doggie carriers and my remark I needed a sidecar to take my two dogs!)

Donna Ride Like Pro and VTM.JPG (10982 bytes)

VTwin Mama on the left and Donna from Ride Like a Pro at the Myrtle Beach, SC Fall Rally booth. In front of us was a roped off area where Donna and her husband Jerry gave demonstrations of slow maneuver riding techniques in their training DVDs. What inspiration!

Barbs Ultimate Storage Solution.JPG (5194 bytes)

I thought I would send this photo to you. I have my son and his girlfriend living with me and each of them have a vehicle. I have a vehicle and both my son and I have motorcycles. All summer I had my vehicle in the garage with the 2 motorcycles. Now that winter is coming and we can no longer park on the street in Oconomowoc we needed to get the cars off the street. I found the perfect storage for the 2 bikes, that is my living room and my black lab. All the vehicles are inside and it helps to be able to look at the bikes all winter. -- Barb

Petra Joanne Liz.JPG (13466 bytes)

So, that's Petra (VTwin Mama) with her Bumblebee 2001 BMW R1200C Phoenix, Joanne with her purple VStar 650 and Liz and her Suzuki Intruder Volusia 800. We stopped by HD Spokes after a wonderful ride to the Pee Dee State Park in SC. What a beautiful day it was!

Andrew's girlfriend who started on a Triumph Bonneville but has since switched to a Virago 250 to get some confidence-building practice in!

This is the Lady Liberty Love Ride 2005. My friend Stella went with me.  We left the boys at home and had a fun girl weekend.  I am the one with the camera, so not many of me, lots of her riding.  I am parking (pic #2)and she is riding (pic # 3). -- Kathy H.

Jodi WS C50 VTM a.jpg (36909 bytes)

I bought a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50 a few weeks ago after selling my beginner Virago 250. This has been a great next level bike (or as I joke my "big girl bike").

Here are the changes I made to the bike:

-Bike came with OEM Sissy bar and rack
-I had my shop lower rear by 2" using John's Kits http://www.johnskits.com/
-Debadged entire bike
-Installed Corbin Young Guns saddle
-Added chrome fender tips on both fenders
-Added chrome piping (trim) around fenders and tank
-Installed chrome license plate mount and cover, and attached using Jolly Roger bolts & amber reflectors
-Covered large bolt holes under seat with buttons that have the Jolly Roger on them
-Attached a Jolly Roger brooch (custom jewelry) to back of sissy bar (can you tell I'm working towards a Jolly Roger/pirate theme)
-Replaced headlight bulb with Kuryakyn Blue Light
-Added chrome ribbed tire valves
-Attached Formotion temperature gauge
-Installed chrome visors to all turn signals & headlight
-Attached chrome "Road Kill" emblems to front fender - LOL love them!
-Installed saddlebag supports and Saddlemen saddlebags (large--sometimes I think I should have gotten the Jumbo)

And believe me I have way more to do on my list ;-) -- Jodi in South Central Pennsylvania

This is my Goldwing Trike. Alotta people with Gold Wings have slogans painted across the tour box, "Our Dream", "Bob & Susan", etc.  With all that tread it's hard to miss the road kills, so I put "Squirrel Squasher" across my tour pak (third pic).  It usually gets a laff. -- Lisa

Linda C VLXb.jpg (9004 bytes)

Here is the beast I could not tame.
In learning to ride it, I proved quite lame.
I spent some time on a smaller ride,
And in so doing likely saved my hide.
I rode the little one every chance I had;
Though about the beast I still felt bad.
Now, the size of it seemed much more striking,
Until I made some changes to MY liking.
Now on the beast I've spent all season.
Not to ride? I have no reason.
I love being out in the wind and sun.
Damn, this is just too much fun!

-- Linda C. on her VLX

This is my new ride, a 2005 Road King . . . live to ride . . .ride to live! Her name is "MOTO" and she is a SWEET ride! -- Susan in the North Georgia Mountains

This is my 2002 Honda Shadow ACE. I live in NC, age 32, have been riding on and off all my life. The second picture is the bike with the pillion seat removed. Am selling my '82 Honda Magna this weekend :(  -- Mary L.

Ok, here's VTwin Mama, aka Petra, at the Ride for Adult Education fund raiser . . . 100 mile ride out of Hamlet, NC. That's me in the black top to the right, third rider back, with VTM sister Phoenix right in front of me. We're coming out of the local winery, where the whole group of about 100 riders made a stops.

And that's Phoenix and myself at the registration desk. See my VTwin Mama long sleeve T?! -- Mama

I am the lady that had the Vulcan whose husband got very upset over it and I did sell it. He was a part of my buying this bike and he also loves it. This is a 2006 Yamaha VStar. -- M. Wright

Pam Shadow 600.jpg (7655 bytes)

Just thought I'd send you a pic of my bike, just got the leather fringed covers for my levers.  She's a 1992 Honda Shadow VLX600 with 10 K on her.  Am going for my next round of practice tomorrow.  Am so excited! Peace! -- Pam

Jennifer HS and Montauk c.jpg (4876 bytes)

Here's my 2004 BMW R1200C Montauk. This was taken during one of our scenic moment stops on the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Canada was a beautiful trip in spite of the graffiti on the rocks. Some did have a good message though -- check out the second picture!

The bag strapped to the back seat is Kuryakyn's Grand Tour bag. Great bag, but poor design on how the D rings attach to the bag itself (for the straps to secure it to the bike) I had to supplement with bungies. It's a great bag anyway. It looks small, but holds a lotta stuff. I also got the largest saddlebags BMW makes for their now discontinued cruiser line. What a wonderful ride. I absolutely love my Montauk!

Thanks again for such a great site! Take care and ride safe! -- Jennifer in Wisconsin
