My "new" 2001 Dyna Lowrider! -- Elaine

I've enclosed a picture of my bike, its a Tank Vision,
250cc, styled to look like a Harley. I can't afford a Harley;
she's the closest and it is to one for me, she's my baby, I love her.

I just wanted to share a little story and picture with ya. Who said that
an old dog can't learn a new trick? In the picture, the one with the
pink jacket is me and the another lady is my big sister. She's 55 and lost
her husband 2 years ago. I said to her one day, you should get a bike, and
she did. It's the same year, make and model as mine, 2000, VLX 600cc
Shadow (the perfect little bike for a shorty).
She took the motorcycle course a week before me and got her license and
now there is no stopping her. She's amazing and goes all the time. She
bikes with me and she's so good. She's my coach and my nerves, She makes
me go and tells me if I did a good job. Just what I needed.
I'm doing so great. Sunday night my husband and I went out and after he
said, Wow it's great to drive with ya, you gotter now. I have mastered
things I didn't think I could and now I know there is no stopping me. The
butterflies are all gone and the turns are just a joke. I learned to lean
the thing. lol So Readers "Please don't ever give
up!!!" If I can do it so can you, I promise. Till the

Ahhh ... the joy of meeting a sister (Linda, aka Pandora) and her husband
Evan at the Myrtle Beach Spring Rally! We had a chance to gab away on lots
of topics while Linda's bike was being outfitted with Boogie Lights.
Then Linda and I headed off for a spot of lunch while Evan kept his eye
on the bike work and roamed a bit to take in vendor's booths.
A great time was had by all, and even Bumblebee, my 2001 BWM R1200C,
got into the act with some pictures!

I ride a 2007 Moto Guzzi Nevada 750 Classic, and in this picture
everything is stock, no mods made. My husband's bike is in the back, a
2007 Moto Guzzi Breva V1100, though they also make it in a 750 and now a
1200 Sport too. Thanks for posting the info on the Guzzis! I wish
more women knew about them! The Nevada is a great first bike, but
yet, one a gal might want to hold onto for years! -- Kris-Erin

Daytona: Just a quick stop to enjoy the waves during a breakfast ride up
A1A to Flagler Beach after riding The Loop during Bike Week. This is my
11th Bike Week! My first was in 1964 with my parents.
Unfortunately, I didn't get back until 1999. I'm riding my
2002 Harley Softail Standard which has been lowered both front/rear and
changed out the 21" front wheel for a 16". -- M.

A picture of me and my bike, which my hubby repaired to
like new condition after an accident I had. It is a 1995 Honda 600 Shadow,

You may remember I originally had a VStar 650. After
putting on a quick 4,000 miles I moved up to the
VStar 1100 Classic which I love (and could afford.
LOL). I've purchased a sidecar for my daughter, so I can get even more
riding time in than I did last year. I managed about
6,000 miles last summer, even with the limited time
I had!
I'll be bringing it in to be painted to match my
bike next week, and then down to a guy who does sidecar
mounting. I've gotten well connected with the
sidecar group up here so they've promised to teach
me to run my rig safely!
I love my bike. I would live on my bike if time allowed.
I can't explain it any other way. You may have seen
my article in the August edition of Biker Alley
magazine, "Riding Alone." Riding has become my escape from all
that life has thrown at me. I can just leave it all
behind me...just me and my bike...and not really
have time to think about ANY of the troubles that come at me each day.
Instead it's just me, the clutch, the brake, the turns, and the wind. --

I wrote to you awhile ago when I got my Volusia 800, and I think your
site is great. I have another new bike now, so my husband Mike and
I can ride together. Last spring we bought a VStrom 650, and we
both love it. It's a little tall, that's why I wasn't comfortable
starting out with it, but after a couple seasons on the Volusia, I had
to get the VStrom, and it's a great handling bike. It looks big,
but it feels light and it turns so nice and feels so smooth. I
rode to Vermont three times last summer, and it was super. --
