Help me w/ my bday list

Postby SFW on Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:25 pm

Ok I got a bday on the way and I need to start thinking what do I really want. My bike has everything it needs so on to ME.

I have a mesh jacket - a basic plain white one that I wear with my white leather chaps. The jacket and chaps combo looks gotty. I was thinking in a prefect world of getting the Icon Hooligan 54 mesh jacket. The offset w/ pink might look really good w/ the white leather chaps. Let me know your thoughts. Its kinda hard to match up mesh w/ leather but I find thats what I wear most in the summer time and darn it I want to look good too.

Since DH won't let me buy anything....gotta make it a gift idea...

Where'd you get white chaps?? I would like to get a white jacket and chaps now, but that may have to wait . . . Let me think about what else you might need.

I got the chaps online mc super store, cruser customizing or bike bandit - can't remember hwich one. Icon bombshells. They look good on me. But the white mesh jacket with it just look horrible! My jacket is first gear contour mesh...more of a grey color now. Thats why I'm thinking hey already look like a girl in white hcpas why not get the light pink jacket to offset the look????
I can sell my old jacket on CL.

If you like the Icon Hooligan 54 mesh jacket then go on line and find the best deal...then you can print the info and leave it lying around for your hubby to see...unless he has asked you to give him a couple of ideas for a gift (Happy Birthday, by the way!!) With white leather you can wear most anything. This is a mix and match world today and really all you need is something to tie it all together.

I messed up when I started riding and getting gear - all my jackets are too big and all my pants are too small...I feel like goldie-locks. lol.

Well its summer so I'm gonna go for the mesh jacket that best suits me.
Fall I'll want gloves and a new heavy jacket, got the gloves figured out, some olympias or TPGs...now on the jacket??????
leather is that gonna be heavy enough, or go w/ a joe rocket ballistic, I want good protection, something more form fitting and if its a textile I want waterproof w/o a liner!

I spend a lot of time browsing internet sites. You can get a lot of info that way and see probably everything available (without leaving your home, sounds good to me). Then if you find something you like, you could see what shops sell them and try them on for size. Hope you find something you really like.

So I'm also looking because of a sale on the fieldsheer breeze II mesh - adjustable, colorful, and my heavy liner can zip in!!
I read reviews on the Hooligan and I was not too impressed...along w/ the cost.
Thinking also of some Colorado chaps in ballistic nylon...for cooler mornings. Would match the jacket,,,so would my white chaps as well.

I like the Fieldsheer jackets. I really like the look of the Breeze II too! I am just not a fan of pink...I like the Roma too. I just worry about the all white thing. Do they get really dirty?

My winter jacket is leather. It has pink, white and black parts. I can say that the white parts DO get really dirty. Im amazed just how much, too. I clean my jacket every month with Dubbin, and it builds up in that time. I can see why bikers prefer black.

Wy - my white mesh jacket from First Gear is grey now. My white leather - easy to clean w/ saddle soap!
I like the pink one,,,matches my mohawk and screams - girl!!! Just hope the black and pink isn't too hot. I just can't do white chaps and white jacket...just like some guys can wear green and orange but not anybody I'd like to hang out with! My mesh has a black liner in it. I also prefer the breeze because it has adjustable armour...just noticed my FirstGear armour isn't in the right place due to the way the jacket fits me.
