Upgrade

Postby sexyfisherwoman on Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:22 pm

Sorry I've been so busy I've neglected you guys.

DH said I can upgrade my bike. Mostly because he worries about me on my longer drives, fear of breaking down, and I've got a bunch of fix ups to do. So I'm happy. We are planning and saving for next riding season in the spring. I also will be doing this to improve my credit.

Harley's are spendy. I'd go for a Sportster 1200L. Can't find a local deal less than 10-12k.
So my other option is Suzuki a C50. $6500 for an 08 or an 09. 8k out the door. Hate those fees!!! But to finance I need 6k down and finance 2k. Yeah my credit sucks that bad.

So excited and I have all winter to save save and save some more.

I've already started a budget and a savings account since I started working again. Soo excited I have a job interview tomorrow for one of my dream jobs.

Any advice on buying a Suzuki C50 or financing a moto would be helpful. so please post away!!

Thanks for he well wishes & luck. Its one of those all day interviews. Probably 1-3 of us doing these. Although the HR lady couldn't stop saying how many people she's got to do this for...seemed strange to keep saying it. My only problem, I usually eat lunch very early, need to eat as not to faint or feel ill. Guess I'll have to sneak in a rest room break and pull out a half sandwich to chow down on. Fainting during an interview is probably not a good thing.

An upgrade!!! Lucky you to have such a great DH
I'd work 2-3 jobs if I could put it towards a new Dyna or Softail or? :P
Good luck with the interview.

I survied barely. When I feel faint I talk a lot, but more in the way of circles. lol. except when I'm interviewing.

I think that they liked me.

Took a last minute personal day since I found out at 4:30pm yesterday about this interview.
Said personal emergency,,,hate to lie though. Almost have a soft sport for this job now, as they have let me take off a few days already. Almost like they really want me.
But, the other job is management of the help desk to which I enjoy and it pays double.
Hard work ahead on this one, much more work than I've been used to lately.
I should know by late this week or early next week.

Good luck with the job!!! I don't know much about IT stuff, but I do know that finding a job you really enjoy is a great thing. And hey, double pay? Helps save up for a new bike! :D

Forgot to mention, I had a great hair day for the interview...thats a rarity. And my face did not break out just before the interview. Usually my hormones take over and I look like a teenager.

I just recenty bought an 05 S50 for $3000, and a friend bought an 07 M50 for 3200. Both of our bikes have less than 5,000 miles and look showroom new. Cash talks around here especially betweeen now and tax time. Love my bike and cannot say enough good things about Zuki's in general.

Buying w/ cash just won;t help me w/ my credit. But looks like I have to finance only 1-2k...rather thats all that they will allow. SUCKS!!

I sent in my thank you note to HR & the hiring mgr. They were very interested in my 90 day plan during the interview so I gave them a taste in my thank you note.

If I get a reply that'll be a good sign in my book!!! Maybe get a reply as soon as tomorrow.

I have an M50 that I bought new but I'm planning on upgrading to a Triumph. I'm not 100% happy with the clutch on it, even after adjusting it. I really do like the overall ride though. Me and my husband seem to be the only ones with this clutch problem, it could be my bike. They really hold their resale value.

So I'm "pro" on the C50 but test ride it first.

Sucks about your credit...but even financing that amount will help you down the road. So kudos to you :)

Have you heard anything yet from the interview? Wishing you the best :)
