Roller Coaster of Life

Postby DaisyMae on Mon Nov 02, 2009 10:01 pm

Wow. Life can sure be a roller coaster! My brother has been diagnosed with cancer. He is divorced and no kids nearby. I am his support system. This just sucks. He is such a great guy! I also found out that my son and his wife are expecting another baby! Whooohooo! So now we will have three little ones under three years old by next summer. Man, you never know what life is gonna throw at you! And now winter is on us here in the mountains. Not much riding until spring - although I am going to try to get out this week if the weather holds a bit. Funny but riding has a way of keeping me focused.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I hope the cancer is treatable. It's good that he has you for a support system though.

Congrats on the upcoming grandbaby. You're right, life is indeed a roller coaster.

Sorry about your brother. Stay positive. "three little ones under three years old" WoooHooo is right!
"Funny but riding has a way of keeping me focused." It does me too and probably most riders. I haven't ridden since last week and I feel like I'm off kilter. it centers me. I can't imagine having to store my bike and not getting to ride for the winter. I know it's gonna happen but I'm going kicking, screaming and clutching the door frame.
I'm lucky I don't have to store her away from home. As it is I want to build her her own little shed. ;)

Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true.

Even a bad day riding is better than a good day doing anything else.

It's a state of mind; Where you lose yourself and find yourself.

Your in Colo. your bound to have a Shinook wind sweep in between now and Feb. I'll send some desert heat your way,,,,if that possible.

Well, that sort of thing can give you motion sickness with all those ups and downs! Wishing you strength to get through the upcoming months...
