I think you're underestimating yourself (is that still misunderestimating or are those days gone now?). I've been amazed by what you've got up to!
I did an evening basic mechanics course at a local College. Unfortunately you did all the work on the college bikes in groups - and the guys had a better idea what they were doing and charged in. I was slow, uncertain and fumbly so I tended to stay back. So the key learning I took away from the course was "get my husband to do it all". He was sweet enough to buy me a torque wrench for valentine's day (all he got was a silly bunch of a dozen roses from me!) but he's the one who uses it. Sigh. I really like the list of what you did to your own bike during the course.
As for 20K miles - quality not quantity!
