7eye glasses with air dam and transition lenses

7eye glasses with air dam and transition lenses

Check out 7eye.com They have everything in one pair of riding glasses. Great high quality style.

A removable air dam to keep the wind and debris out of your eyes when riding, but looks like regular shades when removed.

The 24/7 lenses go from dark when sunny to light yellow for night riding.

And you can get a prescription pair.

There are other options as well.

I want them so bad! I wear contacts when I ride, so they would really help. $200. Not bad at all for what you get.

Be sure to check out your local eye care provider too. I work for a local eye doctor and we offer the orange county chopper sunglasses with transitions lenses for about 200 with no rx lenses and maybe 240 with an rx in them.. You want to make sure they are the real transition lenses,,not a knock off. We have sold several to local bikers and they love them.. Those 24/7 eyes look nice. But if you buy thru you local eye care office they will adjust them for you properly and make sure the rx in it is right..

I went to a local optometrist with my new Rx the other day and she had a whole selection of 7eye products. I ordered the Cape SPF 100 w/ removable eye cup and photoreactive (gray) lenses. I'm getting my Rx put in them, so I have to wait about two weeks.

I've been suffering from dry eye, and have had a few eyelid infections in the last few months. Although I have a windshield, and a full face helmet (I don't wear the face shield down though-- I find I get claustrophobic and my polarized Rayban Wayfarers make things look pretty psychedelic if I have another layer of plastic to look through!) my Wayfarers allowed too much air behind them. I didn't want goggles and was looking for something I could wear on and off the bike.

You can order these from the website, but I agree with 883Sporty and recommend going to a local optician so you can try them on. The different models have very different fits. You can search the site for dealers near you. And with the Rx lenses added, they are sure pricey-- but they can be worn on and off the bike, so what the heck!

Can't wait to get them and try them out!

re: me and my aero (love that!!!! wish i could find a copy of the movie "The Point")

anyway, i got a non-rx pair of Churadas with the eye dam but they didn't fit my face & allowed air in. so, i exchanged for the Zephyrs and that is what i wear over my contacts for protection. they have a small, non-removable cushioning on the inside of the frame. i really appreciate that they transition from night riding to full sun. i use them even underneath my helmets with shields.

I really hope that works out for you. My BF has become quite fond of my 7 eyes, so I guess I'll get another pair. :P

I don't know what brand you bought. The 7eyes don't change at all in the car, they do under my clear shield the same as without a shield.
